Certificate 6: Introduction to Natural Language Processing
Overview:
This course introduced me to Natural Language Processing (NLP), the AI field that focuses on how computers understand and respond to human language. I learned the core concepts of text preprocessing, tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, and basic sentiment analysis. The course also touched on real-life applications like chatbots, language translation, spam filtering, and voice assistants like Siri or Alexa.
My Learning Experience:
What fascinated me most was how machines break down our sentences into parts they can "understand" and then respond intelligently. This made me realize how important NLP is in tools like Google Translate, email auto-replies, and even AI models like ChatGPT. This course sparked my interest in the language side of AI and set the stage for my deeper exploration into OpenAI models.
